Newborn & First year

Newborn Sessions normally last 2-3 hours and are for newborns up to 1 month old.  First year sessions are for babies older than 1 month and up to 1 year (including smash cake sessions) and also last 2-3 hours. Sessions include:

• A pre session phone/email or in-person consultation to discuss your portrait needs
• Photographer's time and talent (communication, shooting, processing of images, custom product design, order fulfillment and travel if applicable).
• A full session to capture your family, child or newborn
• Carefully edited and retouched images in a digital gallery and the high resolution images 

birth

Birth stories, first and foremost, are love stories. They are far more organic than a wedding day and display a wide range of emotions that few other experiences in life contain.  There is no posing in birth photography. There are no carefully crafted moments.  I just try to capture it, however it unfolds. Birth photography is about celebrating the female body and our capacity to nurture and bring forth life. When you book me as your birth photographer you receive the following:

• A pre session in-person consultation to connect and discuss what is involved in birth photography. Since birth photography is such an intimate experience its nice if we can get to know each other a bit and discuss your birth plan, hopes, dreams, etc.  If you are having a home birth I like to visit you at home to see what your birth environment will look like and what equipment (flash, etc.) I might need.  
• I will be "on-call" from about 37 weeks in your pregnancy, that means you should be able to reach me anytime, anywhere.  
• If for some reason I cannot make your birth (which would be rare) I will have a back-up photographer on call to take my place.
• You will, ideally, (again, births can be unpredictable) get shots of your labor, delivery, newborn infant, first latch/breastfeeding photos, and fresh 48 (pictures of your infant again the all carefully edited and retouched. 
• A digital gallery of the edited and retouched images as well as the high resolution images.

maternity

Maternity sessions last about 2-3 hours and are ideal around the 7th month (some women swell or are terribly uncomfortable after 7 months) include:

• A pre session phone/email or in-person consultation to discuss your portrait needs
• Photographer's time and talent (communication, shooting, processing of images, custom product design, order fulfillment and travel if applicable).
• A full session to capture you and your spouse to be
• Carefully edited and retouched images in a digital gallery and high resolution images
• (Milk bath photos are available, see add-on services for more details)

Engagement sessions last about 2-3 hours and include:

• A pre session phone/email or in-person consultation to discuss your needs
• Photographer's time and talent (communication, shooting, processing of images, custom product design, order fulfillment and travel if applicable).
• Carefully edited and retouched images in a digital gallery and the high resolution images
• Thank you card and save the date design and printing are available, (see add-on services for more details)
